Tim woke wit his head pounding and he felt like he had a mouth full of sand. His arms and legs felt like they each had a heavy weight attached to them, it was almost painful to try to move. Tim tried to stretch and roll to his side and ended up biting his lower lip to keep from crying out, the burns from the hot candle wax were still too fresh.

He sat up as far as he could. The collar around his neck attached to the headboard and the shackle around his ankle chained to the the foot board limited his movements. Tim gazed wishfully at the pitcher of water on the nightstand. Knowing that he'd not be able to reach it. After all anything he wanted had to come from Luthor himself.

For a moment Tim wondered why Luthor even bothered with chaining him. The sedatives that Luthor gave him kept him weak. He barely had the strength to stand, let alone to try to do anything else. Of course he knew why, It was to let Tim know that Luthor was in charge. It was a symbol of how helpless Tim was now. It was to make him afraid.

Footsteps outside the hallway drew Tim's attention and unconsciously he gripped the blanket covering him tighter. He heard Mercy murmur a greeting to Luthor. Luthor's deep baritone answered back and a short exchange passed between them before Tim heard the lock on the door being undone.

Luthor waked in a smile on his face when he saw Tim was awake., his eyes dancing with a perverse pleasure. “And did you sleep well Timothy?” he asked as he began to remove his cufflinks.

Tim laid back down and turned his face away as he felt his chest constrict. A stray thought entered his mind as he felt Luthor sit down on the edge of the bed, Luthor really didn't need chains to make him afraid.
